This release continues to build out Purchase Request functionality with better validation, automation, and mobile usability.
Catching issues early saves rework. When you submit a Purchase Request for approval, HomeBuilder now runs the same validation used during a manual release — so problems surface before the approver sees the request, not after.
When a Purchase Request is released — manually or through the approval process — HomeBuilder now creates Planning Lines for each Purchase Request Line automatically. You no longer need to create them yourself.
If you don’t want Planning Lines created automatically, ask your administrator to enable the “No Planning Lines Created on Release of Purchase Request” option in HomeBuilder Setup.
If your company uses a controlled item list for Purchase Requests, you can now enforce it. A new “Ad-hoc Item” field on the Construction Item Card marks which items are eligible. When “Ad-hoc Only Items in Purchase Requests” is enabled in HomeBuilder Setup, the “No.” field on Purchase Request Lines only accepts items marked as Ad-hoc Item.
To speed up data entry, you can now assign a default “Ad-hoc Item No.” to a Vendor or Global Vendor record (depending on your setup for Global/Local Vendor management). When you add the first Item line to a Purchase Request, HomeBuilder populates it with that vendor’s designated item number automatically.
The following fields are now available in both HomeBuilder Setup and My HomeBuilder Settings (this overrides HomeBuilder Setup) so you can pre-fill the most common values:
Values in HomeBuilder Setup apply to everyone. Values in My HomeBuilder Settings are personal — your settings override the system defaults.
To prevent accidental changes to requests already in progress, Purchase Request Lines can now be deleted only when the Purchase Request status is Open. The user will need to go back through the approval and/or release process after making this change.
You can now attach supporting documents — such as quotes or specs — directly to a Purchase Request.
A new “Sent Emails” action is now available on both the Purchase Request Card and the Purchase Requests list. Select it to see all email communications related to the request without navigating away.
A dedicated Purchase Request scenario is now available in Email Scenarios. Use it to set up email templates and automate communications for your Purchase Request workflow.
The tile view for Purchase Request Lines has been redesigned for a clearer, more comfortable experience on phones and mobile devices. The goal was to achieve fewer screen taps and still see what the Site Super entered in descriptions and less about seeing the base Item No.’s etc.
The Purchase Request printout now includes additional details, giving vendors and your team more complete information in both printed and emailed documents.
The “Complete” action is now available directly on the Lot Planning Lines page, so you can mark lines complete without opening each one individually.
Service Issue pictures are now stored using Business Central’s standard attachment functionality, making them consistent with and manageable alongside all other attachments.
The posting process for Deposits and Cash Receipt Journals has been updated so the Posted and Posted Amount fields in Lot Installments always reflect the correct values after posting.
You can now remove the Vendor No. filter on the Global Vendor Bank Accounts page to view bank accounts across all Global Vendors. The “Vendor No.” and “Vendor Name” columns have also been added so you can identify each account at a glance.
The “Vendor No.” and “Vendor Name” columns have been added to the Global Vendor Document Layouts page so you can identify which vendor each layout belongs to without opening the record.
Deleting an Item House Area could lead to the removal of related Model Items, and Pre-defined Package Lines. This has been limited and now requires more manual intervention to remove related records. To synchronize Model Items with updated Item House Areas, repush the Item to the applicable Models.
The “Completed Only” checkbox now appears on the “Select Planning Lines” page when you open it via the “Populate from Planning Lines” action on purchase documents — including Purchase Orders, Purchase Invoices, and Purchase Credit Memos.
The “Pending Service Work Orders” cue on Role Centers now opens the Service Work Orders page with the correct filters applied.
When HomeBuilder sends multi-selected vendor emails containing multiple Construction Work Orders, Service Orders, or Purchase Requests, the subject line now includes the Lot Code — provided all attached documents relate to the same Lot.
