Enhancements
Purchase Requests
With this release, we have introduced the Purchase Request functionality. A Purchase Request is a document that precedes a Purchase Order. It is created by site supervisors to formally request the creation of a Purchase Order, or, in chargeback scenarios, a Purchase Credit Memo.
- To open the list of Purchase Requests, navigate to HomeBuilder - Operations - Transactions - Purchase Requests in the Role Centers "HomeBuilder Admin", "HomeBuilder Executive", "HomeBuilder Inspector", and "HomeBuilder Site Super". Alternatively, you can access this page via the "Purchase Requests" cue in the Role Center, or by using the Search function.
- On the Purchase Request Card, enter the "Vendor No." for the future Purchase Order. For chargeback scenarios, enter the "Chargeback Vendor No." to generate the corresponding Credit Memo. Next, add the request lines by specifying the following details: "Item No.", "Variant Code" (if applicable), "Quantity", "Unit Cost", "Phase Code", and "Lot Code".
- To create Purchase Order and Purchase Credit Memo, run action "Create PO/Credit Memo".
- You can edit the lines in a Purchase Request even after the related Purchase Order or Purchase Credit Memo has been created, provided they have not yet been posted. To apply these changes to the Purchase Order or Credit Memo, run the "Update PO/Credit Memo" action.
- To view the list of Purchase Requests that do not yet have a Purchase Order or Credit Memo created, run the "Pending Purchase Requests" cue in the "Ongoing Purchases" section of the Role Center.
- The "Purchase Request No. Series" field has been added to the "HomeBuilder Setup" page to enable automatic numbering of Purchase Requests.
- For reference, the "Purchase Request No." field has been added to the following documents:
- Purchase Order
- Purchase Credit Memo
- Posted Purchase Invoice
- Posted Purchase Credit Memo
Work Order Management
We have made a series of changes to enhance the usability of Work Order operations, for both Construction and Service types.
- On the Work Order Card, the following changes have been introduced:
- The "Remove Selected" action has been moved from the page header to the sub-grid with the order lines.
- The "Move Selected" action has been deprecated.
- A new action, Re-trade Selected, has been added to the sub-grid with the order lines.
The Re-trade Selected action allows users to transfer selected work order lines either to an existing Work Order or to a new Work Order created for the specified Vendor.
If the selected lines belong to a Service Work Order and are re-traded to an existing Work Order, the destination Work Order must belong to the same Inspection.
- On the " Work Order" card, we have added the" Add Service Issues" action for Work Orders of Type 'Service'. Service Issues can be added only if they belong to the same Inspection and are not already included in another Work Order.
- We have added the ability to create a new Work Order directly from the "Service Work Orders" and "Construction Work Orders" pages, respectively.
- The Service Issues can be re-traded directly from the "Service Issues" page. Select Service Issues and run action "Re-trade Selected". The action provides two options: move Service Issue to existing Work Order or to create new Work Orders for specified Vendor.
When a user moves the Service Issue to existing Work Order, the Service Issue should belong to the Inspection of this Work Order.
When a user creates new Work Order, the Service Issues will be grouped by their Inspections, and one Work Order will be created for each Inspection.
- Service Issues can now be re-traded directly from the Service Issues page. To do this, select the Service Issues and run the Re-trade Selected action. This action provides two options:
- Move the Service Issue to an existing Work Order.
- Create new Work Orders for the specified Vendor.
When moving a Service Issue to an existing Work Order, the Service Issue must belong to the same Inspection as the destination Work Order.
When creating new Work Orders, the selected Service Issues will be grouped by their Inspections, and one Work Order will be created for each Inspection.
- A cue called "Issues w/o W.Orders" has been added to the "After-sale Service" section of the following Role Centers: HomeBuilder Executive, HomeBuilder Admin, HomeBuilder Inspector, and HomeBuilder Site Super. This cue displays all Service Issues that are not associated with any Work Order.
Other Enhancements
- We have improved performance of the following actions:
- "Push to Models" which is available for Construction and Global Items
- "(Re-) Populate All" and "(Re-) Populate Options" on the "Color Selections" page.
- In the "Purchase Oder" page, we have added action "Create Planning Lines", which creates Planning Lines for selected order lines.
- Updates to the "Send Deficiencies to Vendors" page.
- If the Document Layout record does not contain an email address, the system will automatically retrieve it from the Vendor Card.
- Users with restricted permissions on the Vendor table can still access the page. For example, if a user is limited to Vendors within a specific Responsibility Center, the page will open and display only those Vendors.
- Column "No. of Open Deficiencies" was renamed to "No. of Open Issues".
- Columns "No. of Resolved Issues" and "No. of All Issues" have been added.
- All three column values can be drilled down to the "Service Issues" page.
- The page displays one more row with fictitious Vendor No. '_UNASSIGNED' to show number of Service Issues without Vendor assigned.
- Action "Send to Selected" has been renamed to "Silently Send".
- Action "Send to All" has been renamed to "Silently Send All".
- New action called "Send" has been added. This action opens a dialog box for each email created.
- The "Trade Type Code" field has been added to both Global Item Categories and Global Items. When Global Items are pushed to Models, the Trade Type Code is automatically propagated to the corresponding Items, Phase Items, and Model Items in the destination companies.
- On the Where-Used pages for Construction, Global, Phase, and Model items, we have introduced a new action that allows you to open the corresponding item card for any selected bundle item.
- On the "House Areas page", we have introduced a new field called "Selections Print Order". When values are entered in this field, the system will use them to sort House Areas accordingly when generating the Color Chart and Purchaser Extras reports.
- On the "Lot Selection Choices" page, choices that include additional items can now be deleted, provided the action is confirmed.
- On the "Lot Selection Choices" page, the inability to determine a Unit Price no longer prevents assigning an "Item No." or "Variant Code" to a choice. To handle this scenario, we have introduced a new field called "Error Message", which displays the reason why the Unit Price could not be determined. Choices with error messages are highlighted in red.
- We have introduced the following rules for Construction Items in relation to Price Groups:
- All items within the same Price Group must share identical values in the following fields:
- "Is Credit"
- "Color Chart"
- "Base Contract"
- For any given Price Group, all items must have a consistent Designation. They should either all be designated as Customer Fee, or all as Single Item/Component.
- If a Price Group has a "Trade Type Code" assigned, then all items within that group must use the same "Trade Type Code".
- The "Copy from another Company" action, available on the Construction Items page, also copies item images.
- The following fields have been added to the "T5018 Setup" page:
- "E-mail"
- "Rep ID Required" (checkbox)
- "Rep ID"
- The xml output of the "T5018 XML" xml-port has been changed to address the recent requirements of CRA.
- If a user has defined a Default Phase in the "My HomeBuilder Settings page", the "Push to Models" action on the "Construction Items" page will display only the Models associated with that Phase.
- The "Copy from another Std. Journal" action was added to the "Standard Adjustment Journals" page.
- In the "Item House Areas" matrix, the number of House Area columns increased from 50 to 100.
Corrections
- On Model validation, when Quantity of a Model House Area Measurement is not defined, the system raises a warning instead of an error.
- Bug Fix: On the "Phase Additional Items" and "Model Additional Items" pages, entering a value in "Quantity per" now clears the "Total Quantity per Bundle" field, and vice versa.
- We have introduced the following changes for users with access to a limited number of companies:
- The "Push to Models" action in Global Items now displays only Models from the companies the user can access.
- The "Dispatch" and "Where-Used" actions in Global Vendors now show only the companies the user can access.
- The balance in Global Vendors now sums up values only from the companies the user can access.
- Users who do not have Lot Budget permission can now access the Lot List and Lot Card.
- Bug Fix: On the "Lots" and "Lot Card" pages, the flow-field and cue "No. of Service Work Orders" now correctly open the "Service Issues" page with the appropriate filter applied.
- Bug Fix: the Role Center cue "Pending Service Work Orders" now correctly opens the "Service Work Orders" page.
- Bug Fix: On the "Construction Items" and "Construction Item Card" pages, the "Vendor Contracts" fact-box cue now correctly opens the "Vendor Contracts" page with the appropriate filter applied.
