CSM for Walmart Release Notes - 1.3.2026090328.310461

CSM For Walmart 1.3.2026090328.310461

Released: September 4, 2026

Overview

This release gives CSM for Walmart a completely reworked setup experience and its first Listing Management capability. A new guided setup wizard offers a one-click Quick Setup path alongside a full Custom Setup path, so new customers can connect to Walmart in minutes while experienced administrators keep full control. Be sure to also review the Channel Sales Manager (CSM) Core release notes for version 4.10, since this release requires it.

Added

Guided Setup Wizard: New Quick Setup and Custom Setup Paths

  • Quick Setup
    • Sign in to your Walmart seller account and the wizard creates the Sales Channel, API connection, and standard configuration for you automatically using recommended defaults
  • Custom Setup
    • Walk through setup step by step, choosing your own codes and descriptions for the Sales Channel and API connection, entering credentials, and selecting which operations and automations to load
  • If a Walmart configuration already exists, Quick Setup is disabled and the wizard shows an inline message directing you to Custom Setup so you don't accidentally create a duplicate connection
  • Each step shows its own connection status and validation messages so you can confirm progress before moving on
  • Signing in to Walmart and authorizing Business Central can now happen before any Sales Channel or credential record has been created, removing an ordering restriction from the previous setup flow

Updated

System Requirements

This release raises the minimum required versions of the following Suite Engine components:

  • Requires CSM Core 4.10 or later
  • Requires API Engine Library 1.22 or later
  • Requires Variations Library 1.7 or later

Fixed

Order Cancellation Error Message

  • Corrected the wording of the error shown when a quantity to cancel or cancellation reason is missing, so the message reads correctly whether it applies to a single order line or several.

Groundwork Established for Future Improvements

CSM for Walmart is being prepared to retrieve your product catalog directly from Walmart and track each listing's live status, with Order Management and Listing Management licensed and monitored as separate subscriptions. Furthermore, we are working on adding capabilities to synchronize inventory and pricing. Our goal is to release this fully functional Listing Management in Q3-Q4 2026.

As a result of preparing this foundation, there are some features, tables and data sets in this release of CSM for Walmart that may not yet be fully functional and may contain records that are not currently being utilized:

  • Walmart Listing Management: Retrieve Your Product Catalog - Future Function:

    • New “Load Products from Channel” action on the Sales Channel page will retrieve your full item catalog from Walmart, automatically paging through results, and will create or update a Listing in Business Central for each product
    • New “Published Status” field on the Listing page will show Walmart's own reported state for the item (Published, Ready to Publish, In Progress, Unpublished, Stage, or System Problem) for Walmart sales channels
    • New “Default Product Status” field on the Sales Channel will let you set the Product Status assigned to new Listings by default, including two new Walmart-specific values, Archived and Retired
    • The standard Product Status field on the Listing page will be replaced with a Walmart-specific version restricted to these values when the listing belongs to a Walmart sales channel
  •  Separate Licensing for Order Management and Listing Management - Future Function:
    • Listing Management will eventually run under its own Stripe subscription, separate from Order Management, with its own trial, good-standing, and past-due checks
    • The CSM Setup page will show subscription status for both Order Management and Listing Management, with its own renewal and Manage Subscription actions for each
