CSM For Shopify 5.1.2026081428.303695

Released: August 17, 2026

Added

Simplified Self-Service Connection Interface from Business Central to Shopify

  • A new and improved step-by-step guide covering everything you need, including the app address and redirect address to register in Shopify, so you can gather your Client ID, Client Secret and Scopes without leaving the wizard.
  • Your store name is checked for a valid format before a connection is attempted, so mistyped store names give you a clear message rather than a confusing connection failure.
  • After you connect, the wizard asks Shopify which permissions were actually granted and names any that are missing, so you can correct them and reconnect straight away instead of finding out later when something fails to sync.
  • If a connection attempt fails, the wizard shows the underlying reason together with the exact redirect address Shopify expects, which makes most connection problems solvable on the spot.
  • When setup finishes, the wizard offers to open the Sales Channel it created for you, saving time and effort.

Send Images and Videos that are Hosted on the Internet

  • Product and listing media that already lives at a web address, for example a link to cloud storage or a content delivery network (CDN), can now be sent to Shopify using that address directly.

    • Previously these were skipped and never reached your store, so only media held inside Business Central could be published.

    • The file no longer has to be copied into Business Central first, which keeps large media libraries out of your database and gets them to Shopify in fewer steps.

Updated

Dependency Requirements

  • Requires Suite Engine API Engine Library 1.22.2026081428.303683, Channel Sales Manager Core 4.10.2026081428.303406, and Suite Engine Variations Library 1.7.2026081428.303403. These are released together.

Connecting Happens in the Setup Wizard

  • The "Connect to Shopify" and "Disconnect from Shopify" buttons on the Sales Channel page are no longer shown. Shopify access does not expire, so there is no routine reconnect step. If you ever do need to reconnect, simply run the Setup Wizard again.

Wording, Defaults and On-Screen Help

  • On-screen help text was expanded across the Shopify setup and configuration pages.
  • A new API connection now defaults to the description "Shopify API Set" and a new sales channel to "Shopify Sales Channel".
  • Guidance for obtaining credentials is now a simple guide you can follow at your own pace, replacing the previous out-of-date video.

Internal Sign-In Components Retired (no action needed)

  • Two internal components used by an earlier sign-in route, and the subscriber that wired them together, are marked for removal in a future release.

  • Sign-in is now handled entirely by the Setup Wizard. Nothing is removed in this release and no action is required.

Fixed

Shipping Tax no Longer Attributed to the Wrong Item

  • When a Shopify order included tax on its shipping charge, that shipping tax line could inherit the item reference from whichever order line came immediately before it, attributing the tax to the wrong item. This is corrected. The fix applies automatically when the app upgrades; no manual steps are needed.
