Simplified Self-Service Connection Interface from Business Central to Shopify
Send Images and Videos that are Hosted on the Internet
Product and listing media that already lives at a web address, for example a link to cloud storage or a content delivery network (CDN), can now be sent to Shopify using that address directly.
Previously these were skipped and never reached your store, so only media held inside Business Central could be published.
The file no longer has to be copied into Business Central first, which keeps large media libraries out of your database and gets them to Shopify in fewer steps.
Dependency Requirements
Connecting Happens in the Setup Wizard
The "Connect to Shopify" and "Disconnect from Shopify" buttons on the Sales Channel page are no longer shown. Shopify access does not expire, so there is no routine reconnect step. If you ever do need to reconnect, simply run the Setup Wizard again.
Wording, Defaults and On-Screen Help
Internal Sign-In Components Retired (no action needed)
Two internal components used by an earlier sign-in route, and the subscriber that wired them together, are marked for removal in a future release.
Sign-in is now handled entirely by the Setup Wizard. Nothing is removed in this release and no action is required.
Shipping Tax no Longer Attributed to the Wrong Item
When a Shopify order included tax on its shipping charge, that shipping tax line could inherit the item reference from whichever order line came immediately before it, attributing the tax to the wrong item. This is corrected. The fix applies automatically when the app upgrades; no manual steps are needed.
