CSM for BigCommerce Release Notes - 4.1.2026081428.303661

Released: August 17, 2026

Added

B2B Setup Protection in the Setup Wizard

  • The wizard now checks whether the B2B API Set you are about to use is already assigned to another Sales Channel and warns you before anything is created. The standard API Set already had this check, and B2B now gets the same protection.
  • The confirmation step now marks any API Set you are reusing as existing, so it is clear up front what will be created and what will be reused.

Updated

Dependency Requirements

  • Requires Suite Engine API Engine Library 1.22.2026081428.303683, Channel Sales Manager Core 4.10.2026081428.303406, and Suite Engine Variations Library 1.7.2026081428.303403. These are released together.

Setup Wizard Experience

  • Wizard wording, step flow, and the final step have been aligned with the other CSM apps' setup standardization, so both Quick and Custom Setup options now guide you through setup the same way.
  • Clearer summary wording on the confirmation and finish steps, describing exactly what the wizard will create.

CSM Setup Page

  • Ribbon buttons reorganized and FastTab layout improved for setup and registration.
  • The Price Group Pricing action is now promoted to the ribbon for quicker access.

Automation Group Naming

  • Automation group codes now follow the standard Suite Engine naming convention. This applies to newly created Sales Channels. Groups on existing Sales Channels are unchanged.

Fixed

Listing Availability Not Updating After a Stock Send

  • After stock or availability is sent to BigCommerce, the Available Last Qty Sent is now populated and Availability Requires Update is now cleared. Previously both were left stale, so listings continued to look like they still needed an update and could be sent again unnecessarily.
  • Existing installations are corrected automatically during upgrade.

Test Connection Failing on Current Setups

  • Testing communication on a BigCommerce sales channel that uses the current API Engine configuration now works. Channels with no legacy API Set code previously failed with a confusing message about a missing API operation.

API Set Description Ignored During Setup

  • The API Set description entered in the wizard is now saved to the API Set that gets created, for both standard and B2B sets. A sensible default is applied if the field is left blank.

Fixed Historical Start Date in the Data Load

  • Removed hardcoded January 2021 timestamps from the BigCommerce data load, so new API operations are no longer seeded with a fixed historical start date.
